Notice of Response to COVID-19

Effective Immediately, March 27, 2020

 

Due to the "Stay at Home" directive issued by the Guilford County Board of Commissioners, the City of Greensboro and the City of High Point, One Step Further, Inc. will immediately move into Phase 3 of its' COVID-19 response plan.

It is likely that the virus will continue to spread, but there are steps that we can take together to protect our health and the health of our community. The health and wellbeing of our clients, staff, and volunteers, is our top priority during this time. The OSF response plan prioritizes safety, while recognizing the heightened anxiety and stress associated with this public health emergency. Please follow the "stay at home" directive and reduce any unnecessary travel. It is imperative that we do our part to reduce the spread of this virus. OSF will do it's part by:
 

Effective Monday, March 30, 2020:

  • All OSF staff at the Coporate office will work remotely from home. The OFS Coporate Office will be closed. Provisions have been made to equip staff with the tech support they need to work from home.

  • All OSF program classes are suspended until further notice. Every attempt will be made to work with our clients to provide alternatives for program completion. OSF staff will contact participants by phone, email, or mail to relay information and completion alternatives.

  • The OSF CSNP grocery assistance program will operate on a "drive thru" system at both the  Greensboro and High Point locations to reduce the risk of exposure. The following schedule will be followed:

    • Greensboro: Monday-Thursday 9:30am-2:30pm (please be in line by 2:15pm)​

    • High Point: 2nd and 3rd Friday 11am-2pm (please be in line by 1:45pm)

    • If you are a walker, bus rider, or SCAT rider, we will have an expedited line for you to move through. Please make sure that you remain at least 6 feet from another walker. 

  • Any changes to our current business hours or services will be communicated via email or phone to participants and other stakeholders, and announcements will be posted on our website (www.onestepfurther.com) and phone system.

One Step Further, Inc. has provided valuable services to Guilford and surrounding counties since 1982. A member agency of both the United Way of Greater Greensboro and the United Way of Greater High Point, our services include Adult Mediation Services, Juvenile Mediation Services, Guilford and Alamance County Teen Court, Guilford and Alamance County Juvenile Community Service-Restitution, the Community-Offender Resource Program, Family Factor, Guilford and Alamance County Junior/Senior Life Skills, and the Community Support & Nutrition Program. We have made a difference in the lives of so many adults and juveniles and continue to refine our services based on recognized community needs to have an even greater impact on the people we serve.

Cadence of the Drums is a High School Drumline

Competition. Both show and corp style drumlines from across the Triad will showcase their unique styles. Also invited to perform during the event are Middle School, Collegiate, and local drumlines. For more information, please contact Susan Cox at 336-554-2000.
