___Life Skills/Conflict Resolution provides 5 weeks of classroom instruction for juveniles who are 9 to 16 years old and at risk of delinquency. Units of instruction include self-awareness, developing effective communication skills, anger management, peer pressure, causes of conflict, and ways to resolve conflict. WHAT HAPPENS IN THE LS/CR PROGRAM?

___Juveniles referred to Life Skills/Conflict Resolution are required to attend a 5-week class. Topics covered include self-awareness, managing conflict, reducing stress and aggression, youth violence, gang intervention, building self-esteem, and social skills. A workbook, audio-visual materials, and guest speakers are used. Classes are held after school or on Saturdays in Greensboro and High Point.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM?

___This program is designed for court-ordered youths at-risk of delinquency who are 9 to 16 years old. Juvenile court counselors, judges, law enforcement officers, school officials, school resource officers, and the Guilford County Teen Court program refer youths to the Life Skills/Conflict Resolution program.

IS THERE A FEE?

___No. Life Skills/Conflict Resolution services are provided at no charge to the participant, family or community at-large.
